[1] Because "there can't be a problem" worked so well in managing AIDS during its early days.

[2] This is the moral equivalent of the US hiring Osama bin Laden to fight the war on terror.

[3] Maybe she used to go for a stroll to a local crack house, so dowgrading to alcohol is a good thing.

Clearly, we live in a world too weird for The Daily show to make up.

Unfortunately, most folks don't seem to realize that the worst thing you can do after cosmetic/plastic surgery is to smoke, because it constricts the blood vessels, which can cause tissue death in the grafted skin and tissue, and can cause the whole thing to fail and need to be removed (or it just peels off ewwww!) Her doctors are right to be pissed, because patients are INTERROGATED about their smoking habits before they qualify for an organ or tissue transplant of any sort, and they are strongly warned that they will not be able to receive the transplant if they don't agree to stop smoking (at least at the facilities I've dealt with). They're also told it will cause failure of the graft. If she keeps this up she's going to lose her transplanted face as well, and then she'll be pissed at the *doctor* no doubt, and say the surgery itself was unsuccessful - of course, it was nothing *SHE* did. >:o(
