I’m over a week late with this update on What’s Going One Here, so please bear with me.  It’s been a difficult time.

I can fairly well imagine, given that P (24) has had his nonhealing wound on his ankle for two years now, including three hospital stays for infections. You (and your family!) have my sympathy and empathy on this.

Knock on wood, since the last hospitalization (when he was on IV Zosyn and one other which I forget at the moment) P's leg has looked better (no redness, no edema) than it ever had since this started, and the wound appears to be healing (I hardly dare say this; I'm not superstitious, but...), which it NEVER had before. The doctor agrees.

I very much hope that your promising signs are also leading to better days! My best wishes to you and Susan.

I've been taking Trazodone for years to help my insomnia, and it's been very effective. So I hope it works for you too! And wishing you healing thoughts on the foot - sounds horrible.

Sometimes you have to destroy the village in order to save it. Or tear the foot open and carpet-bomb with antibiotics. Here's hoping this was the crisis that finally clears things up.
