My foot surgery (for the quarter-sized open sore on my left foot due to pressure, etc) is due to take place on the 6th - the day AFTER Labor Day. Not looking forward to the pain or the three weeks of can’t-walk, but hoping for a resolution of the open-door-for-infection and the bloody-and-painful-to-be-on-my-feet parts.

I hope this goes really, really well!

I probably missed it, and I'm sorry, but I'm wondering what kind of surgery this will be. Because of son P's nonhealing wound, I am interested in any info that's out there. (And if don't have time for this, that's OK!)

Well - part is just exploratory. They've done all sorts of scans and xrays, and there's a soft tissue problem there that they cant see unless they go in. The idea is to eliminate that and re-fix things so that the pressure is off that point.

I was told that (for this one) because there's this question mark, they aren't guaranteeing what they will find, do, fix, etc.
