(1) resolved my WordPress problems by ripping out a lot of stuff, and installing only a minimum of it back, editing the LJ crossposter so that I didn’t have to deal with all sorts of ugly extra headers.  And added a TinyMCE Extended plugin, so that I have proper visual editing capability.

(2) Got my Google calendar app on my iTouch to start sync-
