Yeah, well he'll lose his Johnson too if he keeps on like that. He's in a Brown study. They're men of Straw. How long do you want to keep this going?

Well, better to grab for one's Balls than to grab for Straws, I suppose?

It was the last of the labour administration and the prime minister had no Balls.

Ah, he does, but he puts them out to be educated, and now he wants them in the money.

Good riddance to the lot of them - more crooked, devious(*) and underhanded than any other administration I can remember (oh, except maybe Wilson's).

* especially that evil little bugger 'Prince of Darkness' Mandleson.

Makes Chicago politics look almost squeaky-clean in comparison...

*chuckle* It wasn't until I was doing some recent reading in the matter that I found out what a devious little fellow Wilson was (well, I was only really into US politics back then, what can I say?).

Mandelson really is a piece of work, to be sure. The whole deal with his history is bizarre; almost feels like Dick Cheney's weird "I'll run this from back here' deal with Dubya in his present position as Lord High Panjandrum.

Oh yes, Wilson set the secret services spying on pretty much everyone, his paranoia apparently knew no bounds ( ... )

Thanks for the link to that BBC story about Irish financial boom and bust; doesn't surprise me (nor similar stories in the Wild East of Europe and in Iceland).

Didn't know anything about George-Brown either; thanks for that tip.
