The Presidential vote in Missouri and the 2d Congressional district of Nebraska. The former leads a very narrowly for McCain and the latter for Obama.  This would be the first time that the kinky division of electoral votes by Congressional district (which only figures in Maine and Nebraska) comes ( Read more... )

Rachel Maddows was going on about Alaska last night. It seems that in virtually every other place in the US, the polls were pretty accurate. Except Alaska. Stevens was going to lost by 10 pts, and he's even. The Democrat was going to win the House race big, and he lost big. The state was going for McCain +11 and it went +25. Far fewer people voted than expected.

Maybe the state just loves lying to pollsters. But it looks suspicious for a state where an sleazy governor shows she distrusts everyone and is more than willing to break the law to get her way.
