I have been told that when one door closes, another one will always open. But what if i was the one closing the doors? What if i happened to go through one too many and there were no more doors left to open

you might have walked through the looking glass, fell through the doors into a hell so vivid that the darkness is tangible and all you can comprehend. you lay there fallen in a bed of jagged rocks, your body a disjointed pile of fragile bones and freezing veins, breathing in air stale with misery, and you can't remember exactly how you got here, aside from the fact you fell. the distance from where you lay stretches above you, seemingly eternal and hopelessness prevails. you just lay here, still and silent as death, too whelmed with hopelessness to think logically, or even considor sitting up and trying to climb out of the mess, nor attempting to scream for a savior. "there is no point," you think, because trying could mean failing and asking for help would mean being vulnerable and either way you could end up hurt. instead you decide you deserve this fate and succumb to the darkness that surrounds you. you aren't worth anyone saving anyway
