[Translation]Duet 03/2012 Shintaro Morimoto+Juri Tanaka

Feb 14, 2012 22:52

As usual, I love seeing Shintaro and Juri featured together. The theme of this interview was "things that they love," so of course they ended up talking about completely different topics. Juri obsesses over one object so much that he can't even play with it like he's supposed to. The other object he loves to such an extent that he goes to great lengths to keep it away from his younger brother. Shintaro is a little more normal with his affection. As expected for such an active boy, he loves the place where he can relax the most, and also the one who is always happy to see him and loves him unconditionally. Please enjoy reading these two sweet, love-filled interviews.

I LOVE it directly.
This month’s keyword is LOVE. We tried asking about the things that entrance them and the things they can’t stop loving.
Juri Tanaka:
[Basketball] I really, really treasure the basketball that Santa gave me last Christmas (serious look). I’m always touching it when I’m at home. I asked Santa for a nice one thinking that I could play with it at the park, but I, I just can’t use such a cute ball outside, I can’t deal with it getting dirty (smile). ‘cause if I bounce it against the wall, or rebound it off the floor, won’t it always come back to my hands!? There are actually some times that it doesn’t, but those times I just go and meet it. Well, they do say that you should take cute little balls on adventures, so maybe eventually I’ll let it go play outside~. [Ring] The other day I fell in love at first sight with a ring, and I bought it that instant as a New Year’s present! It’s a silver feather ring, and the way it looks like the feather winds around my finger has a really cute feeling. I’m seriously into it. When I’m in my street clothes I always have it on, and on the way to school I take it off, but to keep my younger brother from touching it as he pleases, I put it in my personal bag and put that in my room in advance.

Shintaro Morimoto:
[Futon] This winter, I had my eyes opened to the warmth of futons. Because, the thing I love right now is my bed! I’ve come to live my life in bed when I’m at home. When I get home from school, first of all I take a bath, then I play games in bed until dinner is ready. After dinner I go back to my bed and roll on my back and relax, and in that fashion I fall asleep. In my house, the heater’s temperature is configured to be low for environmental reasons. So when you’re staying still, it’s cold if you’re not wrapped in a futon. [Chii] The next warmest thing after futons is my family’s pet Akita, Chii (smile). When I’m in the living room, I cuddle up close to Chii. It’s nice to use Chii’s body as a pillow when I’m lying there. My parents get mad and say: “for humans, the most important thing is their head, so don’t put it on the dog!” and it also isn’t very nice to Chii. But I can’t quit. Another reason why I love Chii is because when I come home, he’s always waiting for me by the door. When I say: “I’m home~” his tail wags very fast and he’s super happy. It makes me feel so good~.
