My most natural self is when I’m at home, walking around only in my underwear (laughs). And I’m natural when I’m with my friends from school, too. But I’m really loud those times, so some girls who see me then become surprised. I’m apparently thought of as a cool person. I’m not really loud on TV, so I think there are a lot of fans who also think that I’m cool, but I’m actually a pretty loud person! But compared to Morohoshi (Shouki), I’m quiet (laughs). I actually cry pretty easily, and I’m not good with touching stories like “Shonen-tachi~”. But I don’t cry in front of anyone. I think that guys shouldn’t show tearful faces.
My sister was practicing karate with my father, so I practiced too. I fought with all my might and was able to perform a kick to my father’s stomach, but he got a bad bruise… I panicked, but he actually praised me, “You got stronger” (laughs).
Akatsuki Hanzawa
I think I’m the most natural when I’m with my friends from school. I don’t care about my surroundings, and just get excited. I say whatever is on my mind, and I’m living freely. When I’m doing my Jr. work, I try to be quiet though. (Matsumura, Hagiya, Jesse says, “Ehh! You’re loud!”) Oh, yeah. I’m loud (laughs). When I’m with my elders though, I try to be serious. Something that I might not be showing other people would be my angry face. I don’t want to disrupt the atmosphere, so there aren’t many instances that I get mad for real. (From the side, Hagiya says, “You get mad when I pull out your leg hair though…”) See, I don’t get mad even if I’m bullied like this. I’m very tolerant (laughs).
A while ago, the quiz that I participated in on the program, “Test no Kadou” (NHK Education, every Monday 18:55~) was really fun! Even though it’s usually a serious atmosphere, we were all naturally having fun that time. I was only able to answer one problem out of three correctly though… I’ll study more (laughs).
Hokuto Matsumura
After about half a year of high school, I became able to show my natural self to my friends from school. I’m a typical B-blood type guy, so I live in freedom (laughs). But everyone forgives me with a smile. Of course, I’m also natural when I’m doing my Jr. work, but I think my “natural” onstage is different from my real “natural”. Kiriyama (Akito)-kun is funny offstage like he is during the MC, so I don’t think his image changes. I think there are a lot of parts of me that I haven’t shown yet, so I myself am excited at my different emerging faces. But I can’t show anyone my face right after waking up, because it looks horrible (laughs).
The other time, I had a dance lesson with Sanada (Yuma)-kun, Nozawa (Yuki)-kun, and Iwamoto (Teru)-kun, and I became depressed because the level of quality was so different… But they taught me many things and stimulated me. I want to practice more with people of upper levels!
Keigo Hagiya
I like it when I can become one with nature. Paragliding or canoeing in the mountains, or going to hot springs. I feel safe when I’m surrounded by nature. In everyday life, I’m the most natural when I’m doing things I like. When I’m playing the drums, and even when I’m playing tennis in class at school, I feel at ease. Even if I’m not good at all (laughs). I don’t really know what my “natural self” is like. My feelings are up and down, and whimsical all the time. But sometimes, I have the opportunity to look at my natural face, and I become surprised. Pictures when I’m running during the school sports festival, or pictures of me on the rollercoaster. When I see those kinds of pictures, I think, “No~!” (laughs).
There was an assignment in art class where we make a lamp shade using clay, but mine turned out to be a messed up lump (laughs). As a result, my grade was horrible! I want to cultivate my artistic sense more…
