Kentaro Yasui always has interesting things to talk about :). The topic from Duet February 2011 was "Jump Like a Rabbit," so he chose to talk about... smiles, snowboarding, and being a villain. I don't really see the connection but it was fun, so whatever. In Wink Up February 2011, the topic was "Nice and Hot." Kentaro talked about what happened to him and Yamapi at the Touzai Uta Gassen with him. It was a cool story, and in this case, he actually adhered to the topic, because Yamapi's response made his heart warm ^^.
Duet February 2011: Jump Like A Rabbit
Kentaro Yasui: [Making The Finest Smile My Signature] I’m aiming for a sparkling smile like Ryosuke Yamada-kun’s! If you consciously try to make a good expression, it turns into a weird one, so I have to investigate how to have a top smile at all times (smile). [I Want To Challenge Snowboarding] I’ve triumphed relatively with skis, but I’ve never challenged snowboarding. I’ve also triumphed with surfing, so I’m confident that I can balance on top of the board. Surely I’m ready to snowboard!? [I Want To Challenge Being A Villain] When I appeared in the stage-play [Takizawa Kabuki], I had the role of an oyama {male person playing the part of a female}, so next time I want to challenge having a manly, villainous role. When I saw Taisuke Fujigaya-kun and Yuma Sanada-kun playing villains, I thought: “they’re really bad guys” (smile), but they sure were super cool. It’s my ambition to also make the audience really believe that I’m a bad guy, I think it’d feel great to do so.
Note: First Kentaro says he wants a smile like Aiba's, and now he says that he wants one like Yama-chan's? Make up your mind xD. Personally, I think his smile is great the way it is, but if he had to copy one of them, I'd pick Aiba. Also, the way he talks about skiing and surfing, it seems like Kentaro can do any sport, which is quite cool.
Wink Up February 2011: Nice and Hot
Kentaro Yasui: In the recent ~Touzai Uta Gassen~ concert, many sempai came to support us, but I helped Yamashita-kun get onstage. But his microphone was bad, and no sound came out of it. I went into a panic and thought: “wah, what do I do!” however Yamashita-kun, who had guessed what happened, just acted like nothing was out of the ordinary, went onstage, and got the place worked up. That was so smooth, and furthermore, when I saw his composure I thought: “wah, cool!” and my heart got warm (smile). In the future I want to become the person who can adapt to any situation and who can cope whatever comes about.
Note: Yamapi is such a professional :). I bet Kentaro was super cute when he was freaking out over the broken microphone ^^.
