Maia walked the path she knew so well from previous visits, she knew she would find him in the garden, she knew he was ripped apart inside. Quietly coming through the side gate Maia saw Justin ripping the violets out of the ground, walking up behind him she laid her hand on his shoulder. "Justin" Maia's voice was soft and soothing.

Justin was startled by her touch and by her voice, he jolted from his spot, turning to that he was facing her on the muddy ground. He prayed that the sprinkler system would come one, just to hide his shameful tears as he stared at her. In his eyes, he looked...lost, more than lost.

Maia knelt down beside him, she did not say anything she simply wiped his tears away and brushed the hair back from his forehead. She did not take her eyes from his gaze. She was simply there, aching from his ache, hurting for his hurt.

If a 40 year old man could look like a child that just got told their parents were dead, than that was him right now. He felt as if he was gazing down at Tessa's cut throat, her slightly deflated stomach from were Garth used to be. He looked at Maia through soaked eyelashes, "Maia?" he asked, his lips barely moving, his fingers digging into the mun to steady himself.
