It was fairly common in the 19th century for elections to the House to be challenged, and frequently overturned, after the Congressional session had begun. (There was no suggestion, however, that the overturnee's Congressional votes were retroactively invalid.) But there have been very few cases, either House or (since it became popularly elected) Senate in the last century.
