this one wasn't even one of the purged ones, but it's like... one of those things where I've wanted to forever but have been EXTREMELY LAZY about, so hey! Everyone is doing it is a good push, yeah? XD

I feel really behind on the Internet because I wasn't even aware until I read your comments that this name change thing is like...a widespread deal.
Maybe it's because I'm one of the lucky ones who never really wanted to change her username? I guess I do have another journal that I started for a class in college and never use now, though, that has the other username I would have chosen...so.

Ah, well, to be honest it's really only widespread among the people I know from CFUD; there are probably entire sections of the internet where nobody cares at all! But LJ just purged a bunch of usernames, so new and exciting ones became available ^^

Well, if you did want to change, they let you use a rename token for another registered journal so long as the email and passwords match!
