Amanda Palmer is... I have no words. "Amanda Palmer is a fool" seems far, far, too mild. The Evelyn Evelyn stunt had me spitting nails about her already - not to take responsibility from the other participant in that - and now this. It is mind-boggling that she thinks saying things like that is okay.

Yeah. the EE thing was bad enough (and I did at least appreciate that her partner was willing to let go of the hipster fascade long enough to properly say what was what and, as I remember, give a near-proper apology, which AP failed at) but just...

her inability to say "you're right: I said something bad, I'm sorry" is really astounding.

Yeah - granted, his apology was itself problematic, but her reaction was just... gah. So much fail.

So the group of friends who posted/commented on that link (sparkymonster et al) are people I know irl in Boston. The world gets smaller.... ;)

And yes. That was.. yeah. Not well done on her part.

No. Just... not well thought out. And like, we all say stupid shit sometimes. But she's very terrible at apologizing.

Man, I hate to say it, but the more Amanda Palmer does things like this, the more I lose respect for Neil Gaiman. I know it's a little unfair, but there's still a certain measure of truth to the saying that you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep...
