Hi Joe! I will have to try those peat pots for starting seedlings (flowers) not vegies. I wish I had room for a little raised garden :(
Did you do anything special to the corn before planting it? Did it sprout fast? Your yard DOES look like a big job to tackle, especially in your state (WA) where it rains so much, I bet your grass is like a jungle if it's not mowed! Augh!
Can't wait to hear what the galleries say about your cool pulltoys. Congrats on doing 7 of them! That's quite an accomplishment. :)

Those peat pot things are really wicked. Once the corn started taking off in the peat pots, I exposed them for a few hours outside in the sun, then brought them back in, (they call that "hardening off" lol!) K, dont' ask me why thats funny. Anyway, then planted a few days later. I also used some vegetable garden fertilizer in the ground that I bought from Lowes.
Good luck on the garden! But yeah, bigger fence! The dogs will have afield day with the young plants, otherwise.... (Sad personal experience. We'll never grow Napa cabbage like those again... They were perfect! Briefly.)
