Subbin' at Middle, eh? Well, well, welly, well, well. I'll be interested in comparing notes. Just as a sneak preview, being in the teacher's lounge is exactly like being in highschool, and subbing for a highschool teacher is exactly like being in middleschool. DON'T DO MIDDLESCHOOL. Elementary school is kind of fun, but you get less reading in.

Well, actually, I think I'm putting the idea to rest. I hadn't considered that I mightn't actually be employed until mid- to late-October, leaving me, what, 2ish months of employment before I scramble for Tanzania?

Also, the fact that I'll have to shell out over $200 in fees plus whatever amount of money a TB test costs leaves a bad taste in my wallet considering it's not even guaranteed I'll be accepted as a sub (the woman at BOE consistently acts like she has no clue what the process is for a non-citizen Oath of Allegiance & affidavit entails). Further, that trend of not calling people back after their 20th day (just before the pay bump) is uncool in my book of things cool and not.

Even my mom thinks it's a bad idea, and she's always pro-gettin the moneyz.

I'm saddened. All my dreams of putting on a black leather jacket and straightening these kids out two mods at time. Decimated.

I agree with your reasoning. You think you could get your bank job back for 2 months and then quit? Or is that just awkward?
