It's honestly been so long that I don't know how to update this LJ concisely at all.  So I'll just list ten things.

1.  I finally came back to LJ after sorting out a lot in my life, because I finally had time to, and I missed fandom, and especially YOU.
2.  I'm healthier and happier than I've been in six years.
3.  I'm still with my boyfriend,

I'm trying to get back into LJ, too, and I'm doing my best to work out how you do the whole updating-on-a-regular-basis thing. It's crazy to think I sometimes did it every day! So far, I'd have to say it's definitely worth it. There are some great people I know through LJ who just manage to say the right things at the right time. So I hope your return goes just as well as mine has. :)

I like your boyfriend's idea of dropping out and heading somewhere exotic. There's something about an unknown future that's exciting and scary all at once. That could be quite interesting if it ends up happening. Does he have any destinations in mind, or is that going to be a pretty random choice, too?

It's almost like once you fall behind on LJ, the harder it is to get back into it. I feel like people will be upset I disappeared and it's too overwhelming to catch up. But oh it does feel good to be back! :D

PS Is it summer for you down under? I'm jealous.

It sure is Summer down here! Although last week it was cold and rainy... today it's lovely and warm! I expect it will be cold and rainy again just in time for Christmas, though.

I think most people understand that you need to disappear from time to time. Sometimes, you need to direct your energy in a particular way and things like LJ can detract from that. I'm glad you're enjoying your return - it's certainly great to see you around again. :)

I'm glad to see you in LJ-land again! It's true; staying on top of fandom is almost work itself, and it shifts so fast that it can be too much trouble to keep up. But there's always something new and shiny to find on the internets.

Right now, I'm returned from Japan...knowing more about myself and trusting who I am at the moment. I've been going through some doubts and regrets. Job hunt--er... XD

So I'm taking the same steps to get myself back on track. Job, health, writing...all of it, stripped down to the baby steps of 'getting enough sleep'. Taking joy in nerding around with my friends; enjoying my family's company, and learning to let go of my criticisms. Most of all, just letting my thoughts be my thoughts on LJ, and wondering where the internet will be taking all of us next.

Aw, I'm so glad we might be hearing from you more regularly now. :) And of course I'm happy you're happy and healthy and in love. I've pretty much fallen off the face of the anime/manga world, too. I caught up with the Naruto manga over the summer but haven't touched it since, and I think it's been over a year since I watch any other anime or read any other manga.

I hear you on fandom. I haven't even been fangirling over movies or TV, though I do watch House a lot and love it. I would like to find a new fresh manga to read, but I don't think I have the energy to write fanfiction when I have so much original crap screaming desperately for editing. D: But it's so much fun to share fandoms with people you love! I got on an LotR kick of all things when my BF and I rewatched the trilogy, and now that I converted him to DN it's like a dream come true.
