O.o (eyes you suspiciously.) Has R been working on you again? No, but, seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed this. And, man, I agree with your icon like x2000. You are shocked, I'm sure!
I still am waiting for my bandom flashcards, but I actually do know Pete and Patrick. And Andy (w/tattoos, yes?) And William. And the sweetly pretty boy (from Panic?) who should be related to Anne Hathaway.
But none of that really matters, because I suspect I would have enjoyed this story almost as much even if I couldn't put a vague face to the names. =)
...related to Anne Hathaway. Do you mean the guy in my icon? If so, you=FTW.
Sadly, this reminds me of the email I stumbled upon that I apparently sent to crimsonclad in early 2006 about a kerfuffle going on in Panic fandom at the time, where I said, "I can't really tell any of them apart, except that one of the guys looks exactly like my best friend (female) from middle school," and I cannot for the life of me now figure out which boy I was referring to. TOO MANY CHOICES.
oh, hey, this is wonderful. \o/ i really enjoy how you write their dynamic, eh. i especially like your pete here. your pete voice. i enjoy it.
this story was good and had a satisfying conclusion and i am glad that it exists and was posted on the internet. \o/ (that means i got to read it, i am glad of that you see) good job
Thank you very much! And, I'm especially glad you like the Pete-voice. I don't know if it's like this for everyone, but I tend to have the one character I get, right away, and then other ones I have to work a lot harder at, and if Patrick pretty much defines the former for me, then Pete is so firmly in the latter that for a while I never thought I'd write from his POV at all.
Dude, this is amazing. I have wanted exactly this fic (without knowing from whom, or why) for a long time now, and I'm so glad it finally arrived!
I don't know how you do it, but lines like: "His bullshit only works until you can see the wires."--they ring so fucking true. Actual insight is so hard to find in fic, so thank you for that.
Really, thanks for the whole thing. Your Patrick is also fantastic (and everybody else, honestly). I heart, heart, heart this.
Wow, thank you so much! I'll admit it, I'm a little amazed, because I thought I was the only one who felt the absence of an extensive post-fumbling Awkwardness fic like a burning in my soul, but I am very pleased to be wrong.
No, but on a serious note, thank you very much for this:
Actual insight is so hard to find in fic, so thank you for that.
because I got to a point with this story where I wondered if I actually had anything new to say about and with the characters (especially about Pete, because he's so self-eviscerating on the internet already), and so it is reassuring to know that I got something right for you.
