Do you know ? I'm head over heels in love with your Thomas ! (joining the crowd of Port Royal girls waiting out of Mr Gillette's door with heart-shaped eyes ^_^).

Great characterization ! I've enjoyed this part very much. The humour is wonderful and it's a delight to discover all the historical details you weave in the story (the Mermaid Tavern, the original character of the sea daddy). The dialogue with Groves was a perfect mix of humour and sadness. Gillette's feelings are very delicately shown. The meeting with the old sea daddy was a very original idea and underlines the humanity and good nature of Gillette. I like your Beckett a lot too. He's a very decent and good-mannered villain *G*

Unsinkable, indeed ! ;)

And thank you for the galleries ! They're gorgeous ! :)

THANK YOU! *blushes* I'm so happy people like "my" Gillette. I hope it's not true what you say with all the girls - he might not dare to go out anymore! ;-)

Mr. Peters will be back in "Joyful Molly", where it will also be revealed how Gillette met Norrington and got in the Navy in the first place.

He's a very decent and good-mannered villain

I like that description! :-D I hope he'll *stay* well-behaved, though...!

Thanks a lot for your kind words. :)

LOL... is he actually so shy ?

I'm glad to know Mr Peters will come back ! He's very nice. And yay for the future revelations about Mr Gillette's past. :)

Oh, I'm sure Lord Beckett is that type of classy villain that knows when to step back and let the heroes win the day ;)

Hehe, no - but a little overwhelmed, I guess! :-)

I hope so - or somebody has to poke him with a sword! ;)

Ooh, very interesting! I now really want to know who Jeremiah Peters was, what he did to save Gillette's life, and (possibly more urgently) what Beckett's going to do now! It was very nice to see some of Gillette's mysterious past and also his more compassionate side! But I also enjoyed his conversation with Groves, who seems like a good friend.

I'm loving your AU PotC universe here! It's a treat to visit. And I love the galleries too, especially Mr.Gillette's (as you normally don't get many pictures of him and you've got some great ones.)

And squee for there being a third of these and then a Gillington to come! Hurray! Lots to look forward to, and I am :) Thank you!

Thanks a lot for your lovely feedback! And icon love! :-D

Gillette's pre-history will be told in "Joyful Molly". I've just posted the other two stories of the In Absentia trilogy, and you'll get a hint where Mr. Peters is now. ;) As for Cutler Beckett - well, he's not a man who gives up so easily...

I absolutely see Groves as a good friend, and he'll be in JM as well. (You can never have too many men in uniform, after all!)

Glad you liked the galleries. :) There's not much online, well, the communities here aside. Or maybe I looked in all the wrong places. In any case he deserves his own gallery.

Have a lovely week!
