Need a flatmate? Mr. Garrow is looking for a comfortable home…

Filming for series three of “Garrow’s Law” is under way, so naturally, Edinburgh is currently the capital of the planet.

It’s the quiet Canongate close where the infamous Deacon William Brodie carried out a bungled heist that would send him to the hangman’s noose. So it is only fitting that Chessel’s Court, an address steeped in legal history, ( Read more... )

At least his living conditions would still be better than that of the urban poor in Edinburgh who had to live in the underground.

That's very true. Imagine, having to live in a vault! :-( (And people still live underground in big cities - NY, for example. Very scary.)

I've made plans to visit Edinburgh this or early next year, and I definitely want to take this walk.

That's it: the Vault. I couldn't remember the name of the place offhand. Be prepared to be freaked out.

I was in Edinburgh four years ago and the walks are quite fun!

Though I didn't see Canongate where they are filming :(

Oh, how wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing these! :-D

No word on Lady Sarah, if she's living there too.

Looking at the picture, she probably does (well, in reality she did, so hopefully the series progressed to that point in their lives as well). At least her clothing indicates that she's left the days of "Lady Sarah" behind; lovely dress but definitely more suited for a poor attorney (legal or other) wife. Very lovely picture, though - aw, she's so tiny! Now let's hope that's the baby in the basket rather than laundry...

But you might be more interested in the second picture.

Wheeeeee! :-D Navy! I so hope this indicates that there will be another navy-related case, but then Sir Arthur was employed by the Admiralty in the last series, so this might "just" be his place of work. But yay! Uniforms! Thanks so much for sharing, that made my day! :-D

Thanks so much for the pictures--I don't mind spoilers---

I guess they use twin babies for the shots, as usual. So there would be only one baby(played by two) involved in the story.

That could be a new baby of Will and Sarah(as in history). And two possible law issues: the custody of Samuel and the divorce (which was quite difficult and legally very interesting at that time).
I am a law geek, I admit...(plenty of criminal and family law involved in this series, just my line of work, though thankfully I live today--and in a different law system)

Samuel was more than six months old when we last saw him!
Assuming there is a year gone there could be another baby and Samuel would be a toddler already.
There must have been time to get a flat and new clothes for Sarah.Living on a disgraced barristers income alone is hard times compared to Sir Arthurs lifestyle.

Oh! Now that promises to be a very interesting episode! I'd love to see that historic battle covered; and maybe even a cameo by Georgiana? Yay! I wonder whose side Garrow would represent, though. He was a whig, if I remember correctly, so he'd been on the side of the loser... interesting! *rubs hands*

you may yet get an Admiral!

\0/!!!
