Gah, Berwick may be closer than Greenwich National Maritime Museum but unfortunately it's still more than a cheap daytrip within student budget away! :-(

Damnation. :-( I hope the next event will be closer to you.

Collingwood 2010 - a whole year and I didn't manage to go to even ONE event!

SAdly can';t do trains or any public transport and I can't imagine the fair for my driver from here to Berwick ! ( to be fair I don't ever get to Teignmouth either so no one can say I am partisan in admiral loyalty ,though I am off to dover soon a town which fails signally in terms of honouring the birth there of its best sailing hero - grumble mutter)

Greenwich now - that I Can do - though the Caird library is now closed until September for purposes of research
However once it opens again i am always up for fetching things for people who need them...copies of mss, pictures of very loveable admirals that sort of thing!

Will there be podcasts and is it worth asking ?!

I'm sure the admiral won't hold it against you or I that we won't be there (well, I sure hope so!) ;). It's great to hear you'll go to Greenwich, though! A lot is "under construction" at the moment, so I won't visit this year, but I'm looking forward to possible reports. :-D

I don't think so; it's a very small affair, but if there should be one and I'll hear about it, I'll definitely let you know.

I suppose so; I haven't read the book (yet - did you like it?) but I guess it will the basis for the lecture, maybe with some added information. I hope somebody will attend and let us know. :)
