Fall

I went to the store the other day to buy a few fall decorations to make up for the fact that the seasons don't change much here. The pumpkins that I bought came with instructions for making pumpkin pie from scratch. When I told Jared that it would be a fun baking project, he said, "Ruth, have you ever seen the inside of the pumpkin...?"

hee hee, I know I LOVE to carve pumpkins, but I can't stand to stick my hand in there and scoop out the guts. It just feel ewww icky. But pumpkin pies are yummy. It'd be a fun project.

It's wonderful fun using "real" pumpkin instead of canned for pies, but beware! It's difficult to get the same smooth consistency and can make for more of a science project than a baked pie.
