New Glasses

Since my new cornea is healing so well, I got a new left eye prescription from the surgeon. Rather than spend hundreds of $$ on new glasses now, before everything has settled down completely, I just had the optician put a new lens in my existing frames ( Read more... )

I'm envisioning you popping out the old eye and replacing it with a new one. Possibly a whole set of designer eyes for different looks and/or functions.

Your involvement in SF costuming may have just gone one step too far. (Or possibly it's ME that's gone too far.)

Actually, I still want the bionic eye with the infrared and x-ray features. And a recording feature.

I still remember walking out of the doctor's office wearing my first pair of glasses, and being surprised at how DETAILED the bushes were, and look at all those leaves! (I was all of, maybe, six at the time. It's vivid.)

They do make a difference, and you never know how much until things suddenly get better.

Well, since you essentially have a new left eye, it seems only appropriate you'd get a new left eye prescription.
