Tonight, God reminded me that I need not do His work alone--rather, that I cannot do His work alone--and that beautiful things can come out of the most dreadful situations.

Tonight, I went to Laundry Love, an event where people meet up with the homeless/less fortunate and help them do their laundry fo' free. I guess the emphasis is really more on ( Read more... )

SURPRISE ELEPHANTS! Haha, that image is surprisingly hilarious to me. Actually, not that surprising. I think I just enjoy hearing--reading--seeing--you and your voice again. IM conversations are just so lacking sometimes in that department. (Not that it's you who's lacking :P)

That's a great verse. I wear Joshua 1:9 on a shield pendant thing around my neck, and it's a oft-quoted verse to the point of almost cliche (almost, 'cos Bible verses-- I mean, you can't say God's word is cliche), but it's also very comforting to me.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

JOYCE YOU ARE AMAZING, and I wish I had the courage to minister to the homeless and just show God's crazy love for them through me. It's something I'll have to learn, and my small group is actually doing homeless ministry soon-- so sooner or later, I know God will push me through. I guess I just wish I weren't so scared. You're a blessing, though, and I thank God every day for you :)
