Disclaimer: This might make sense to only me, since I'm trying to address a number of issues at once...but hopefully everyone who reads this can take something from it.

I'm a stranger in my home
Living life on my own
Right now I just can't see
'Cause I'm feeling weak
And my soul begins to bleed
And no one is listening to me, not even the treesWe ( Read more... )

To answer your question -- yes, it would. :)

And don't know *how* you can think this entry doesn't make sense, because it does. Make sense, that is.

Now you've given me a lot to think about...

Heh. Seems very, very understandable to me. A lot of parts reflect very closely what I feel.

Except the reference to the Pitchforks, which I didn't get until I searched for *pitchforks* on the Mudd network and found one song by the "Duke Pitchforks."

I figured a lot of people would relate to what I was trying to say, which is why I made it public. Glad it's understandable :)

And yeah, the Pitchforks are one of our best a capella groups here. They're absolutely amazing.

Well, I have no idea how you will interpret this, but, Kenny, I hope you're not letting your music depress you or keep you depressed. You might not believe it, but it happens sometimes. Don't let it.

Or I could be majorly wrong and you could be blissfully happy. Just making sure. I ought to make that my catchphrase.

I was going to be the first to post, but then I had no idea what to write. I wanted to say something positive, but I couldn't think of anything nice to say, because sadly, I think a lot of it happens to be true. Conformity sucks, it hides the real people we happen to be inside. Its why people sometimes hafta go find these things we call "emotional outlets." Music is just one of these outlets. How illogical does this happen to be, us humans having to find some way to let out all of the built-up emotions when we are clearly built to express our emotions, not hide them ( ... )

Conformity may indeed be an integral part, but I don't think we can risk losing creativity, original thought, and freedom of expression for the sake of it.

A little bit of being jaded is good for a person, methinks. Innocence and naivete, while all well and good, just don't work to your advantage when you're older.
