Am Time Team fan. So applaud uni's exhibit, but deplore lax security. And unfortunately, boys will be boys. So now something horrific will be unleashed!

Heeheheee I'm a history grad and used to work in museums - lax security and jokes are everywhere, you just need to know where to look. Because unlike DW would have people believe, you don't display expensive objects on a mount with six armed guards and lasers around (underneath a handy skylight). ;) And you don't bother alarming stuff that's not worth nicking, but you'd be amazed what people will actually steal! And the jokes staff play...

If you are ever in the Science Museum basement, (and if its still there) in the Secret Life of the Home exhibition, there's a display case on its own in a corridor, just below eye height on the wall, narrow and long with household junk in including record needles. Look at the top right hand corner inside the case, on the inside of the glass I think. There's a label saying "Warning: Standing too close to this case will identify you as a nerd." XD
