I think my problem is that I never stopped reading children and YA fantasy and sci-fi, so I'm reading and re-reading them way past the target age. I have to admit there is a great deal of fun to be had reading them at a very different level of understanding in your life.

Your mileage may vary? I think the next ones are pretty disturbing since they are mainly focused on the title character himself. But Mr. Darling's Kennel IS pretty epic.

Feel free to make suggestions for other children's/YA or public domain books you'd like to see lists for. I'm thinking something "Little Lord Fauntleroy" for next Wednesday and a Quick & Dirty Rec List of Baum's Oz books in order of Queerness for next Friday. Let me know what you'd like to see!
