Suffice to say that my few experiences of the airline's customer service have me scurrying to Qantas or Virgin for my travel arrangements with the exception of when I can get Jetstar seats at giveaway prices. I'll put up with rudeness for a $93 Perth-Melbourne fare, but not otherwise!
I consider myself to have very good customer service skills and it saddens me the way that other staff I work for treat our customers. A bit of empathy goes a long way to helping people. Mind you, the rules at Jetstar are so strict that even I get sworn at on a daily basis by customers - I dont blame you running to Virgin Blue or Qantas. Thanks for the good wishes - the sooner I leave the better.
I can understand it if it's the rules talking, and in those circumstances, I try to be mindful of it not having been the messenger who's put these fare rules in place (or of the misleading wording!).
The one time that TOTALLY cheesed me off with Jetstar, having phoned to check a week before my flight, when the arrangement had changed by the time I arrived at the airport, I was basically told by the CSO in no uncertain terms, "Bad luck!", or "Stiff bickies!". Can't remember exactly what words she used, but her attitude in response to my simple query about the change was basically that I should go away and stop bothering her. Totally uncalled for!
Sorry to rant on your post... I'm sure the last thing you want on yer journal is disgruntled Jetstar customers, given that it's shitting you to tears during the workday!
Having said that, I'm flying with you to Hibearnation next month ($93). Coming home Quaintarse, though :P
