So I love the dance parties that my roommate decides we should have all spontaneously. When nothing is on tv, I barely have a chance to say anything and she's like "we should dance". So fun. This weekend has been pretty slow - on call is always pretty slow. Kate came over to visit me last night which was awesome because it made the slowness disappear and before I knew it my on call hours were up but we were too wired to go to bed. Email is a strange thing. It sometimes takes the place of vocal conversations. I don't like that. I would much rather say some things to the person. There is a human connection that is taken away - plus there is that whole akward waiting period when you wonder if they read it and whether they are going to respond. So I am up and down these days. Sometimes I think I know what people want and then other days I come to realize that they want something different than I thought they did. There are so many secrets and so many ways to screw things up just by trying to find out the truth. I just wish that everything weren't so interwoven and complicated.

I had to walk today. I couldn't stay. I walked and thought, I saw people and remembered who I was, but I knew it was not all of me that was talking when we talked. I walked some more.
