Omly 7 entries in two weeks. I know that communities with this 'old style' challenges aren't doing so well these days, but I'd like to think we can get at least 10 entries! I am happy to run challenges fonightly if it works better for people.

lol, challenge communities like this...
basically they're being taken over by 'last icon maker standing' or '____100' or other newer styles of challenges. Which are all great... even some of the basic cap challenge sites are struggling. It's just about what inspires makers.
Most of the people who like this kind of challenge now do it in elite or multi-fandom communities.

Oh, really? Hm, that seems strange. I absolutely love icontest communities, and I'm a member of so many of them. I would hate to see them lose popularity. Perhaps you should whore this community more...? Have you advertised it in icontest_promo? I'll add it to the affiliates of my community, pinupicontest.

I pimp this community fairly regularly and we've got a good member base.
It just seems that people would rather spend their time entering the many many other comms, namely elite or more 'novel' challenges.
I love icontests too, but even i find i'd rather enter the elite comms I'm a member of and I'm about to start participating in two different 'lims' contests.
