Oz couldn’t remember a time in his life where he didn’t have a guitar in his hands, but he still knew that he wasn’t possessed of great musical talent. Yet he loved it, being on stage as part of a band, knowing he could affect people the way that he did when he played but never needing the limelight of being the lead of the band.
That had always fell to Devon, the singer, and had been decided way back when they first started writing together, and although Devon was pretty vacuous most of the time his lyrics were at least half decent.
But now he had a new music in his life, a new love. He wondered if he’d remain as devoted to Willow as he had been to his guitar, if the anticipation of Willow would fill him with the same hunger he felt just before going on stage.
Oz hoped, and he wished but he knew that no music would ever feel the same to him again.
