Okay, funny story from my ST experience today

Yes, I FINALLY made it to Star Trek! No real spoilers here unless you count "IT WAS AWESOME" as a spoiler lol.

Now for the funniness - my mother has been a Trek fan practically since the early days and yes, she herself is a Spock fangirl so now we have this running joke about how the Vulcan love runs in the family. Then halfway through the movie she says to me that she'd fallen into fangirl love with the original Bones so now not only has she gone for the original Spock and I for the new, but now she has a love of old school Bones AND new! Never mind I've had a thing for Karl Urban since Lord of the Rings. Yes, my mother and I almost had a fangirl slap fight right there in our seats! LMAO!! Apparently I "have" Spock, so yeah lol.

It gets better - I was wearing my Quintophile tank top that I got myself for Christmas but I have no pics of being at the theater with it on 'cause they didn't have Zach's poster, just Chris'. Though I might do it again anyway if Mom and I are able to see it again before our theater gets rid of it.

And to top that all of that off - given that I'm STILL in uber Michael mode (hey, the man's sexy as hell and knows I exist - I'm allowed to be fangirly where he's concerned lol) during about a quarter of Chris' scenes all I could think was Michael saying how during the making of No Man's Land: Rise of the Reeker (in which Michael co-starred with Chris' father, Robert Pine) Robert would periodically get phone calls from Chris as to the negotiations of ST, all of them kind of on edge to hear he'd get the part. So yeah, 2 weeks ago I'm all "I wanna see Zach!", then today "How am I gonna stop thinking about Michael long enough to concentrate despite my billboard of awesomeness?" (hey, I can't help that my boobs are big enough to make any words on a top I wear seem like a billboard; it's not like I paid for them to be this big :P). From there Karl started talking... as Bones... when he was going on about what the wife had taken from him in his first scene I was in fangirl love with him all over again lol.

And I CANNOT finish this post without mentioning SIMON FRIGGING PEGG! YES we got an "I'm givin' all she's got, Capt'n!" I went squee crazy! And given how much I miss my Scotsman (Kev for all those who've forgotten his name :P) I've been avoiding like EVERYTHING Scotland related. At least if it involves the burr - I just can't usually take it without my mind reeling back to just over a year ago when I had the man here. BUT hearing Pegg put the burr on, especially when said Scotsman is a HUGE Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz fan - really just Pegg fan in general - yes, it made me all warm and fuzzy inside and I smiled every frigging time he was on screen!

And I'm sad to say I think I walked in as Team Spock and left as Team Bones (I mean, I still heart Zach, but yeah) - my mother and I still playfully bickering over who got him in true fangirl fashion... As it stands now I can "have" Karl, but Bones is hers... according to her lol
