At the age of 10 I decided I was "too old" for Goosebumps (though I'd loved them prior to that) and ended up in Shadyside - I think it was the connection to the places and town, even if not entirely the characters, that made the impact. Characters changed with nearly every book (save for sequels up and the Seniors Series) but the town and landmarks and such were always there.

Great, now I'm getting nostalgic again. What can I say? Even now I feel more at home in Fear Street then I do here. Sad, I know.
