I'll flick if I can, but I'm okay with squishing the bastards. We had a spider of respectable size set up camp in a tree above the walkway of the new place. P-star insisted that I had to do something about it but was squeamish about killing the spider. I don't think because she wanted it peaceably relocated, she was probably just kind of grossed out about it all.
(I wiped out both the web and the spider menace; only way to be sure.)
There's a very large garden spider that often weaves a web across the side door of the garage. After Chris nearly walked into him nose to nose, he put a note on the door that says "Achtung Spider" as a warning to himself to look before leaping.

They're everywhere around here, especially after the wet winter we had. I usually wait until Jim has broken through the webs first thing in the morning. He gets the paper and usually starts watering before I "get around to it."
