One of the kids on Zoe's bus start prank calling me this afternoon. Occasionally they'll call and pretend to be Zoe's teacher or something saying "Zoe got in trouble at school today" in their little mouse voices. I wish I knew about this earlier!

I attended a weekend seminar with Rachel Brice a few years ago. Wow... that woman is *amazing*. Not only does she have incredible dance skills, but she was the nicest girl ever. She was so humble and sweet, and she encouranged everyone, even the lame-o n00bs like me. I have ultimate respect for her, both as a dancer and as a human being.

I am so bummed... don't think I'll be able to make it down there in time tonight. :( I hope it's a good show... maybe post a review if you have time?

You got it. I didn't realize Rachel Brice would be there until today or I would have made plans much sooner. I called my mom an a couple hours ago in a panic because Tom asked me to work the door. I FINALLY looked at the flyer that had been sitting in my inbox all week and noticed the details and noticed the Rachel Brice bit. Doh! I guess I should read my mail sooner. No?

He's actually not bad! He needs to work on his arms a bit and add some more hip movement but he's got some impressive stomach control.

I tried to take a video with my camera phone of Rachel dancing tonite. I'm not sure how it turned out. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post it here.

In his comments, he says he aspires to be like Rachel someday.

I just thought it funny...I've never seen a guy belly dance before and some of his facial expressions were a bit much. There's another video he recorded too, but I thought one was enough.

Yeah, his facial expressions make him look like he's in pain. lol

Rachel looked like she was having so much fun while she was dancing. Smiling and interacting with the crowd and other dancers. He's got a ways to go if he wants to be like her.

Bellydancers were phenomenal. And the music at Ascension was awesome. I worked the door so that was a little boring but around 12:45 I turned in my cash box and danced until closing. I had so much fun! I had most of the floor to myself because most folks were up at VNV.

Zoe and I are heading up to Ramona today for a Corvus tournament and then dancing at Sabbat tonight. Hugs to Elvis and Otter. Have fun girl. I'll see you Sunday night.
