Adobe did what...?!
Alright, I've been out of it for a while since I started doing a massive maintenance check on my site and while poking around I found out, Adobe bought Macromedia. Now, this is funny for me (maybe not for you). This is the irony. Macromedia makes a program called, Flash - web animation software (played with either the flash player or shockwave). Adobe made/makes a program called liveMotion - web animation software (played with either the flash player or shockwave). Macromedia makes a program called dreamWeaver - WYSIWIG web design program. Adobe makes a program called goLive - WYSIWIG web design program. Macromedia makes a product called Fireworks - an image editor. Adobe makes photoshop - an image editor.
I think you get the idea. I listened to the CEO of Adobe talk about the whole aquisition and what was for the future. He didn't say squat. I mean are they going to discontinue and/or merge the overlapping products. I mean this is like if IBM bought Apple (or vice versa). Anyway I'm going to go poke around my new little resting space and see what trouble I can get in to. I'll be sure to let you know when I get the site done.
