But then I lived in a land called Northern Minnesota. Where many battles are fought on frozen water. These warriors are small children to adults. And there is another game to play in the winter called curling, a sport that most who don't live in a frozen land know of.
But I will admit the rest you were talking about I haven't a clue.
Most of my other readers are either from Britain, where hockey is played on grass, or from the American South, where it's played by hand with an oblong pointy ball. Or something like that.
As far as football goes (the non-British oblong pointy ball version), one can't know football until one plays it in knee-deep snow at a minimum. That said, I don't think any of my Southern friends give a crap about football any more than they might about hockey.
As for those of you who don't know what curling is, imagine people hurling big rocks. Now imagine people sweeping ice with brooms. I'll let your imagination do the rest.

People in the Southern US live and die for the pointy ball kind of football.
But I have to agree with you unless you have played in knee deep snow and in the cold you haven't played.
Thinking next winter I am going to take up snow shoeing. Would love for someone to teach me who to fly fish. Yes I am nuts.
