i called my granpa today for the first time in forever to wish him a happy birthday, and tried joking around with him and starting a conversation, and for some reason he killed the conversation as quick he could. it was too bad, he's a nice guy and is basically the reason why my family can afford to put me through school

I think all grandparents do that. Maybe it's because old people try to save money on little things so they cut down the phone bill.

Telephone conversations are nonexistent with my grandparents.
