I loved Lex's thought processes here and pretty much divining Clark's secret without doing so, if you know what I mean. ;)

Poor Clark! I can understand why he broke down and cried.

A shower, hmm? ;)

*g* Aw, well. He has his moments... and not *innocent look skyward* --Glad you're enjoying it so far!

*pats Clark on the back* Yeah, there is an inordinate amount of h/c in this one. I feel a little sorry for the boys.

*lol* Down, girl! This one really is pre-Clex; unfortunately, Clark is only 14 at this point, so there is some restraint there... *smiles*

*laughs*

True, Clark is a bit young for shower shenanigans. ;)

Honestly, Lex must have the willpower of a saint in these early days. ;)

He wanted to get close. He needed to be normal.

Double-bind. Deadlock.

Yes, exactly. I love how you've shown the essential dynamic of Clark's character on Smallville - what makes him so interesting to watch if you get it. He really just wants to be his father's son (normal) but he can't stop himself from doing things that would betray his powers to anyone who gets too close. Poor lad. No wonder he cried when Lex told him that it was OK.
