I closed on my refi - the notary told me that I picked a good time to refi because the rates are going back up. Lucky! Hopefully, I can save up some fundage to fix a couple things around here and take a couple of vacays later in the year. Also, by this time next month I plan on having my last remaining credit card paid off

Ahaha, I cannot poke fun at your American Idol addiction, because I have become obsessed with The Voice as of this season. I have no excuse! I just. What the hell. How did I develop a sudden, honkin' crush on Blake Shelton? I have yet to hear a single lick of any of the man's songs! (Which, well, I'm an alt-country/old-school country girl, so I know next to nothing about who and what is hot right now in Nashville -- save for passing knowledge of the likes of Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry and Lady Antebellum.) BUT STILL. Blake Shelton, what are you and your tall-ass, earnest self DOING TO ME. That bona fide Oklahoma accent is killing me in all the right ways, and he is so damn honest and engaging when he's offering feedback to the singers.

ANYWAY. The point is: MORE HEARTS. <333

Thank you, sweetie! I am excite! I have never been...shall we say...financially sound/responsible. My parents raised us living paycheck to paycheck and that was the extent of my money knowledge, so to do this makes me feel all responsible and shit. LOL...

And, if I had known THIS was going on, I would have tuned into The Voice way sooner! He is a delectable slice of country goodness, that one. Normally I know my country but I have no idea what that man sings. Boo!

Congrats on the refi!! We refinanced last summer, when we knew that my net income was going to take a big dive, and that cut our monthly payment by $250/month.

I'm also obsessed with The Voice. I really like that the mentor have to choose at the outset based strictly on vocals, plus I like the way the mentoring is done. The fact that each mentor has his/her own team means they're invested in the singers and work hard to help them do their best (IMO).

I am thinking I am going to have to check out The Voice...I was never a big fan of Christina, so I didn't pay much attention to it, but everyone keeps telling me how great the show is.
