Chapter 25: Time for a new beginning
A/N: Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it. I wrote this a year ago and never had the resolve before now to actually post it.

Castiel and Gabriel were standing in front of their new condo. It was a gorgeous two bedroom place with a giant balcony with a small balcony garden, a nice lush living room, a storage center, a beautiful kitchen and a gorgeous bathroom. It was nowhere near as big like the Estate, but it was theirs. Sam and Dean had come to help them move into the new place (with a pie from Mary, who was sad she couldn't go help today).
None of the Novaks showed up. Nobody was really surprised. Castiel and Gabriel had told Joshua the news. Joshua hugged them both tightly and wished them good luck. He also gave Castiel seeds and plants to start his new garden with. It took them all morning to get everything inside. Thankfully the new furniture had arrived the day before so they didn't have to worry about that. So unpacking was their only order of business. It was late in the evening when they finally decided to stop, sitting on the couch and watching tv while eating the Chinese food they ordered.
"So, what do you two have planned now?"
Castiel hummed, pulling out his university folder "I got accepted at the university of Kansas and I can finally tell everyone!" Dean smiled, pulling Cas in and kissing his hair "I knew that already! Sam got in too, so you two will be school buddies, yet again." Sam chuckled, leaning back on the couch "Yes! I can't believe we're graduating in less than two months! It's been an insane four years." Castiel chuckled "Tell me about it! Even this whole year, so much happened! I still can't believe it. And now I'm free! I'm finally free from everything! Is it bad that I kinda want to drop my last name?" Gabriel lifted a brow "You want to be like Cher? Just one name?" Castiel made a straight face, nodding. "Yes. I shall be, just Castiel!" Dean chuckled softly, he then moved to murmur something in Castiel's ear that caused him to turn bright red and sigh happily. Gabriel and Sam both made a face "Oh god, he probably said something super corny!" "Oh no, yuck! Make it stop!" They both burst into laughter as Castiel and Dean both blushed, Dean rolling his eyes "Shaddap!" Castiel paused, then he smiled, standing up and taking Dean's hand "Speaking of a year ago...there's something I want to show you in my room.". Dean blinked, and then nodded, standing up. "Alright." Castiel smiled, waving at the two "Alright! We'll catch you guys later!" and they skipped off.
Gabriel shifted, moving to lay his head in Sam's lap. Sam smiled, instantly playing in Gabriel's hair. "So..." started Sam, smiling fondly "So?" repeated Gabriel, looking up at Sam "I'm graduating soon...I figure that if we wait about a month or so, we could go public?" Gabriel smiled "I like that idea, kiddo." Sam grinned "Especially since your placement is done officially as of today and you don't do the evaluations for the class, so that means that you are officially not my teacher anymore." Gabriel wiggled his eyebrows, smirking at Sam "Did I just lose all of my sex appeal because I'm not your teacher anymore?" Sam snorted, and then he laughed "Oh shut up!" then Sam shifted to kiss Gabriel softly "Naw, you're still hot, guess it's you I'm in love with." then Sam paused, sucking in a breath. They had never shared that information before. Gabriel smiled, leaning up to kiss Sam back. "I love you too, kiddo."
Back in Castiel's room, Dean was surprised to see Castiel open up his computer. Dean stayed in the back, lifting a brow and smirked "So...I thought this was code for something." Castiel snorted, smiling "You always think things are code for something, but no, that's later." Dean grinned, going right behind Castiel and kissing his neck. "So, what's for now?" "Well," started Castiel, opening a document with a single video in it. "One year ago, I made this video. And...I want to show it to you." They watched the short video in silence. Dean smiled and hugged Castiel tightly in the beginning and then laughed at the end. Castiel turned and kissed Dean softly. Dean returned it and they kissed softly for moment. And then Dean smirked "I can fuck you on every possible surface if you want" Castiel laughed softly, giving Dean a light shove, and then he smirked "We do have all summer." "I love you Cas." Castiel smiled softly "I love you too." Then Dean shifted, moving to click a few keys on Castiel's laptop. "But I now think we should make an update video - together." Castiel smiled "I think that's a great idea."
