Chapter 23: The boyfriends get the good news

When Gabriel and Castiel finally arrived at the Winchester home they quickly made their way to the couch. Dean quickly pulled Castiel in close, kissing the top of his head. Gabriel put down the pizza and the movie as Sam walked in. Dean learned forwards, grabbing the dvd. "Bon Cop, Bad Cop? Is this in french?" "It's bilingual, with subtitles, you'll love it, I swear. It's really funny and filled with action. Hey, kiddo, mind if I borrow your laptop?" Sam blinked, surprised at the request and went off to grab his laptop. Dean quickly set up the movie, sitting back with Castiel, shifting to make sure that the other was leaning on him. Sam came back with the laptop, handing it over to Gabriel. Sam started the movie and grabbed his own slice of pizza, leaning against Gabriel "What are you doing?" "You'll see! But it's a surprise! So shoo for five minutes!" The movie started and even though Castiel and Dean were really into it, Sam was too distracted by Gabriel. What the hell was he doing? A good twenty minutes passed until Gabriel closed the laptop's lip and set it down. He grabbed his own slice of pizza and laid back. Sam bitchface. "...Gabriel." "Hmm?" "...Mind telling me what you just did on my laptop?" Gabriel took a bite, paused, chewing slowly, and then he smirked "Just bought a condo."

The movie was stopped instantly by Dean. He put the remote down, glaring at Gabriel, snarling "How fucking dare you, you piece of shit! How goddamn dare you abandon Castiel like that!?" Gabriel blinked, raising a brow. Castiel chuckled softly, grabbing Dean's arm. "Dean, calm down! I'm moving in with him!" Dean blinked, instantly relaxing and settled back down in his seat, trying to appear as if he wasn't embarrassed at his outburst. Sam smiled hopeful "You're both moving out of the estate? Really?" Gabriel and Castiel nodded, smiling brightly. Dean smiled, continuing the movie.

It was later in the night. The exhausting events of the night before had caught up to Castiel who fell asleep halfway through the movie. Dean smiled, covering them both up with a blanket and they finished up the movie. Afterwards, Dean scooped up Castiel, who was still sleeping soundly and bid Sam and Gabriel goodnight. Dean brought Castiel up to his room. But that was about three hours ago. Sam and Gabriel had continued to watch tv together. Silently enjoying whatever was on and each other's company, all snuggled up on the couch. "Gabriel...can I ask you a question?" Gabriel paused "Sure kiddo, you can ask me anything."

"...What really started the fight? Just 'a little family thing' wouldn't make you move out." Gabriel sighed. "It wasn't just that, you're right. There are many reasons. I ran away from that house because I was suffocating in Michael's desperate plan to make us all follow Dad's plan for us.  The only reason I came back is because of how miserable Castiel was and I knew how much he needed an ally in that house. The moving out was a long time coming, I don't belong there and Castiel sure as hell doesn't belong there too, you know? So, I figured I'd move out and take Cas with me and this way, he can do what he wants to do with his life - and not have to follow Dad's plan." Sam nodded, cuddling closer to Gabriel. "It makes sense."

Gabriel paused again, looking at Sam sadly "...there's also another reason...The fight was actually about you." Sam blinked, shocked. "Excuse me?!" Gabriel groaned "Apparently Lucifer has like, a thing for you, and he found out we're dating and he told you that you were his and I was to leave you alone and I told him to go fuck himself and yeah." Sam looked at Gabriel in pure shock and horror. "Oh god, are you serious?!" Gabriel nodded sadly "Yeah, I just, if I can also prevent you from ever going close to that place again, I will. Because Lucifer is a total psycho and who the hell knows what he's been up to. But I know that his abilities can only go as far as to what he owns, so, this way I can make sure you're never near the house again. Also, Michael really hates Dean and I'm sure he's trying to cook up a way to force Cas to break up with him, so, this way, everybody that matters wins." Sam smiled, kissing Gabriel softly. "You're so good to me, to Cas, even to Dean." Gabriel smiled, kissing Sam back "Someone's got to be, I want to...I want you, Sam." Sam smiled shyly, getting up and taking Gabriel's hand. "...You can have me if you want." Gabriel grinned, following Sam's lead “You mean that?" Sam nodded, leading them upstairs. "I've wanted this for a while now." "Lead the way, kiddo."

They had to be quiet, knowing very well that Dean and Castiel were in the room besides them sleeping. Before they went into Sam's room, Sam even opened the door a bit to check. Dean and Castiel were indeed tangled into each other on the bed, sleeping the night away. But being Sam and Gabriel, soft laughter was still heard, mixed in with moans of ecstasy. It was loving and tender and absolutely wonderful. When Sam fell asleep afterwards, cradled close to Gabriel, Gabriel stayed up a bit, staring up at the ceiling. He had made big choices today, he wasn't regretting a single one, but now he had one more obstacle to go over - breaking the news to the Novaks. Gabriel smirked, he had an idea.
