Dreamt I was on the sweet Surprise

Almost a year ago, I boarded Surprise for the first time. It was late in the day. unfortunately, and I spent far too little time admiring her lovely lines. I should have stayed there a long time were it not for my company. I could go 3,000 miles again just to spend a whole day in her, alas.

Did you take many photos of the dear lady then? I can't get enough of seeing her.

I must check my phone, but probably not. Horribly, we spent very little time there because we bought our tickets and then were informed that there was a private party that would be going on for the next two hours. It was almost sunset when we finally boarded her.Having children in tow did not improve the experience either. :-(

What shame! They ought to have told you before, so you might have had a chance to return the next day. Very bad style of them!

Still, you were able to see her!

I wish I could go to California and see her! I have been dreaming of it ever since I had first become a fan of M&C and all that. I remember the first time I called the Maritime Museum of San Diego to talk to one of the ship-wrights (I am not sure if I had got that title correct..!?) And it felt like I was calling my ship! XD lol

Thanks for sharing; you were lucky to see her! Do you live in California? Sorry for asking the obvious...
