I applaud you, and I'd like to watch the movie, but I can't as yet give up the only meat my kids will eat on a regular basis. Maybe we'll inch towards it.
I have a funny tofu 'recipe' - when I lived in Hawaii my roommate Jackie would make tofu sandwiches...just tofu, mayo, and curry powder on whole wheat. I love them!
I find vegetarian cooking to be easier, myself. Really all you're doing is heating up the ingredients, whereas with meat you have to worry about cooking it thoroughly to kill whatever might be living on/in it. The rare occasions that I do cook poultry I get the organic cage-free kind, because I'm soft-hearted and I don't love the idea of eating chickens that have been pooing ON each other. I love fish too much to be a full-on vegetarian, though I could easily cut out poultry and not miss it much. Good for you for doing this for five months! :)
I was just thinking about that last night. It's kind of nice not to have to worry about salmonella. Although, given the latest outbreaks from lettuce, maybe that's not entirely true :)
