How does an anti-thest, anti-traditionalism, anti-consumerist, anti-obligated-gift-giving atheist celebrate the winter holiday season?

I celebrate Newtonmas which, for convenience's sake, looks exactly like Christmas celebration complete with wishing people happy holidays, giving gifts without obligation, wearing red and green, and singing songs ( Read more... )

What holiday greeting do you use? Like do you wish strangers a "Happy Newtonmas"? Or do you stay generic in hopes that the strangers will appreciate it as you do?

I say "happy holidays" mostly because the only time I say it, it's not a good time for engaging in a conversation about the prevalence of religiosity and the diversity needs of the nation.

But I'd like to say "happy Newtonmas" sometime, just to see what happens.
