I am uncomfortable posting my response as a comment in an unlocked post, but am thinking about why I am uncomfortable as I am not ashamed by anything I am saying here and think that a frank open discussion is useful in our community. I may modify my comments slightly and post them again in this more highly read and public location at a later time after I have considered this further. My comments, whether meant for the public or not, are wholly important within my own network or tribe, however, and follow in my own journal.

If you avoid activities that can transmit either of those, then you will also avoid all the other STDs, and pregnancy, and a few other non-sexual illnesses.

Oh THANK you! It's good to see more people recognizing that pregnancy is an std!

Hmmm, all the Republicans keep insisting it's a human from the instant of fertilization, I guess that means they think all humans are parasites?

I wouldn't put it past them to fuck up logic that much! They certainly ACT as though they think women are parasites.
