Following on from my previous post, I've been trying some more elaborate edits than my usual, while also bringing my computer to its knees. I wanted to try and move some of the studio shots into other locations and one particular picture of Ethel Hallow really worked for the concept:

I'm not sure how you manage to do so much with your photos - I'm already giving up sleep for Photoshop and this is just a few images... :)

After ten years of working with it, I've got pretty fast. I use a lot of third part software to speed things up as well. I use Nik Sparpener Pro, Eye Candy 4000 and Coral Knockout amongst others. The Coral does a good job of removing the backgrounds without me having to fuss with it too much.

Ah, Corel Knockout is on my wishlist. If you saw the pain I went through to get a convincing cutout on the hair....
