I remember hand-feeding one of my kitties a high-calorie goop when she was too sick to eat normal food. Kinda surprised your vet hasn't prescribed something like that. :/ Or did you try that with Loki and he wouldn't eat it either?
I have this high-calorie stuff called "KMR" that the cat initially went ga-ga over ... but like everything else, it seems like it's only interesting when it's new, and the novelty wears off quickly. Now, the only way I get it into him is via oral syringe (like I had to do this morning). I actually opened up a fresh can of cat-food pate (the "magic" stuff he seemed to start eating again a while ago, once he wouldn't touch the regular stuff), knowing that he would most likely just lick at it a bit and then lose interest ... but this time, he didn't even do more than sniff at it once, then ignore it
