I love the name "Grey Wolf Irregulars". It's almost a pity the PCs don't include something like "a wolf, a horse, and a beautiful woman" to cover all the original wolf's roles. :D

Maybe the other brothers continue questing on the theory that after they get Y, they can ambush Ivan when he comes to the same place for Y and get X from him. (And they want to get all the way to Y in case Ivan takes a different route.) Or they might make an ersatz version of X and hope the fake will be 'good enough', or perhaps try to swap the fake X for Ivan's real one. Heck, maybe the one Ivan gets at the first dungeon turns out to be a fake and another brother got the real thing. :D I can see this turning into a scramble of stealing things back and forth. Which might or might not be good.

That's something I would likely keep in mind, were I to try to adapt my notes to a more "generic" adventure write-up, and I wanted to include some pre-generated characters. (Either a free fan-made adventure for a more fantasy-focused Iron Kingdoms adventure, or if I were to translate it into, say, Savage Worlds or whatnot, and bill it as "a steampunk Slavic fantasy setting" or whatever.)

Heck, maybe the one Ivan gets at the first dungeon turns out to be a fake and another brother got the real thing.Haw! Now that would be an interesting twist. Brother #1 is the "blow the top off the dungeon" sort who brought along an army and artillery and heavy spells. Brother #2 makes a big deal about "I'm going to do this all by myself!" And he seems like the most hopeless case ... but secretly, he already WENT AHEAD and got the prize, but suspects his brothers of being just as ruthless as he's capable of ( ... )
