Necroprancer? Aieeee. :)

Yeah, instant PC replacement is getting kind of funky there, what with Meadow Canter's sudden replacement. I mean, it's still a good idea not to leave players out of the action too long but maybe what they need are 'life insurance policies that really work' with a limited number of charges, or draining X amount of gold each time they are used, to prevent PCs from using death as a tool to solve puzzles.

Maybe they could drain 10% gold with a 100 gold pieces minimum charge, for instance.

Or drain xp! Assuming players are concerned about either, in a one-shot.

The "Meadow Canter's evil doppleganger" is the best cover-up I've heard for player inconsistency, though. Heeheehee!

Thanks! I'm really not sure what he was thinking re: selling the dragon's soul. I think it was a case of being heavily influenced by out-of-character talk, where certain of the players really weren't taking PC death too seriously (not that I really expected them to).

It did sound kind of funny at first, as a joke. Especially since the dragon was such a greedy little beast. I'd half-expected her to say his soul was worthless because he was already headed that direction anyway. :) But as a "sure! I'll do it" it was not in character.
